The Shawls to Dye for collection is now available for preorder, 20% off the regular price with the coupon code “preorder” on ravelry through May 2, 2014. The collection contains three shawl patterns featuring hand-dyed yarns.
Amaryllis is the third shawl in my new collection. It's crescent-shaped again, with an easy-to-work knit and purl body and a floral border. I had to rip back and redraw the border chart so many times because there was always something I didn't like about it... but it was totally worth the time and the effort.
This shawl is going to be the second one in my new collection. It's crescent-shaped like Lily Magnolia and features another gorgeous hand-dyed yarn, Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Ginger. When I bought the yarn I already knew this shawl would be called Gingerbread and I tried to come up with a texture suiting the name.
I'll show you the third shawl in a few days, I think that one is the most exciting design among the three.
The collection will be available for preorder soon.
The collection contains one shawl and two sweater patterns.
- Glacia (sweater): April 25, 2014
- Aquamarine (shawl): released
- Abiesa (sweater): April 30, 2014
I fell in love with the colours of this yarn and decided to design a simple shawl and let the yarn shine.
If I want to be honest, this shawl isn't really in the making anymore, it's waiting for its release (and I'm a bit behind with blogging. again. but I'm trying to improve).
Lily Magnolia will be part of a collection of three shawls featuring yummy hand-dyed yarns. The collection will be released this spring, and I'll show you the other two shawls soon.
Just realized my crocuses match the first version of my Vanilla Orchid shawl. :) I love these two colours together.
And a little reminder in case you haven't seen: there's a shawl and cardigan sale in my ravelry store ending in just a few days! agnes.kutas.ch/content/hello-spring-shawl-and-cardigan-sale
I'm planning to release two sweater patterns next month, Glacia and Abiesa.
Glacia is worked from the bottom up, in the round up to the armholes and then back and forth in rows. The shoulders are joined with three needle bind-off. Sleeves worked from the top down, sleeve caps shaped with short rows. No seaming whatsoever.
Abiesa was published in a Hungarian magazine last year. Now that the one-year exclusivity period is over, I'm preparing the pattern for self-publishing. Abiesa is a top-down seamless raglan sweater.
When I released my Cloudberry set last December, I knew that story wasn't finished yet. I liked that cable pattern a lot and decided I would make a cardigan with similar cable details. Well, the end result is a coat rather than a cardigan but I just love it. And a great plus: it knits up really quickly!
Macaron is part of my spring sale (I decided it can count as a cardigan), check it out here.

Register on my website, write the name of the pattern in a comment with your registered username and you can win the collection which this pattern is a part of! A random number generator will pick a lucky winner at 5 p.m. (Central European Time) tomorrow (March 6, 2014).
Please note: the comments won't be visible until the draw. It wouldn't be fun if you could see what the others wrote ;) So please don't comment multiple times :) Why register? Because if you register, I'll know your email address and will be able to send the pattern to you if you win. Need help? You can find all my designs here. Good luck! :) And: there will be another giveaway when we reach 1500 ;)
EDIT TO ADD: Thank you so much for participating :) It's 5 p.m., time for the random number generator to pick the winner! The pattern in the picture is Golden Hazel.
